AV Strategies introduces AVS Elements, our virtual event platform. AVS Elements puts all the tools to execute a successful virtual event in your hands. Powered by CVENT’s QuickMobile event app, we can develop and deploy a branded event portal with all the features necessary to manage the entire attendee experience.

We can host AGM’s, awards galas, and conferences that include keynote addresses, breakout sessions, and exhibit booths; all with support for remote live presentations and pre-recorded content.
Our app provides a single platform to deliver a seamless virtual experience. As thousands of front-line workers and essential staff continue to risk their lives to protect residents from the coronavirus pandemic, buildings across Canada are lighting up to show love & support for these invaluable individuals.
AV Strategies is proud to provide outdoor architectural lighting & projection to recognize and give motivational support to our fellow Canadians during these trying times. Light it up in “healthcare blue” to reflect back the community’s amazing support for medical professionals, first responders, grocery store workers, delivery drivers, long-term healthcare staff, and the countless other essential workers that have been working relentlessly to put the health of the community ahead of their own.
AV Strategies stands ready to provide turnkey creative lighting and innovative visual solutions. We can project words or images in central locations where residents can view from even in isolated places. During such an unprecedented time, the illuminated messages of support serve as a symbolic beacon of hope for everyone.
Have you canceled your conference or meeting due to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) but still need to get your message out or hold crucial employee and customer meetings? AV Strategies can help with our suite of video conferencing and webcasting and streaming tools.
We offer live streaming of events through our Webcasting portal. Our partnership with IBM Cloud Video delivers a highly scalable and reliable platform for streaming live and on-demand video. Webcasting is very effective at bringing together large numbers of people across a diverse geographic area and is a valuable tool for communicating time-sensitive information simultaneously.
AV Strategies also has extensive experience with Video Conferencing. We utilize the Zoom platform to connect groups in various locations to hold seamlessly interactive meetings. Whether it’s a large or small meeting, our video production capabilities will enable multi-camera switching combined with graphics and pre-recorded video just like you would do at a live conference.
Talk to us to help organize your corporate announcement, training session, sales meeting, shareholder meetings, or your employee meeting. We can help reach your audience while limiting face to face contact during these uncertain times.
Ten years ago, Canadians welcomed the world with glowing hearts and filled venues and streets with red and white to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic spirit. On February 22nd AVS was proud to support PRP in their production of FAN FESTIVAL at Jack Poole Plaza celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. AVS provided a turnkey production solution which included our SL100 mobile stage, concert audio + lighting support which featured our new Theatrixx G2 Touring 4.8mm outdoor LED video wall product. The day was filled with activities including meet & greets with Olympic and Paralympic Athletes, pin trading, sport demonstrations, and main stage musical programming – culminating in the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron with a musical performance by Lights.
With over 25 years of experience working in the audiovisual industry, most recently with VER Vancouver, Jennings has planned and executed numerous corporate conferences and live events. As many of you will know by now, our long-time friend and colleague Gary Power (Harley) passed away last week. Harley has been battling cancer for over 2 years and has shown great spirit and fortitude throughout his illness. Harley was determined not to let cancer stop him. He continued to work during his illness and was even scheduled to work the morning of his passing.
Those of you who were lucky enough to have known Harley will miss his incredibly big heart and down-to-earth positive, genuine energy. He has been in and around the rock and roll and A/V business for over 40 years and during that time he touched many lives.
We will miss Harley greatly and extend our sympathies to his family.
In May, AV Strategies provided the audiovisual support for the G7 Finance Ministers Symposium in Whistler, BC.
The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, and the Honourable Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance, along with Stephen Poloz, Governor of the Bank of Canada, co-hosted the meeting of G7 Finance and Development Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
Cantrav, one of Canada’s premier destination management and event production companies, hired us to deliver the audiovisual solution. That solution included audio, lighting, large LED flat panel displays, multi-camera video production, and a live stream of one of the sessions using IBM Cloud Video. Through our partnership with IBM, we stream video through our webcasting portal which provides a highly scalable and reliable platform for streaming both live and on-demand video.
The secured closed-circuit stream was viewed by media and government staff in other venues throughout Whistler, so they could remotely participate in the meeting.
This was another high-profile event that required AVS to deliver a multi-disciplined approach with complex technical and logistical requirements while having a minimal impact on the meeting.
AV Strategies has partnered with Vancouver Civic Theatres and 102.7 THE PEAK Vancouver’s Modern Rock, to present a FREE pop-up concert series, Summer Sounds, throughout July and August this summer. This 4-concert series will feature top music headliners, delicious food trucks, and the always popular patio bar.
Headliners for the pop-up series will remain top secret leading up to the event, so you’ll have to follow along on social media or listen to 102.7 The Peak for clues before the official announcement two weeks prior to each show.
We will be utilizing our S100 mobile stage and providing full concert audio production.
AVS will be posting the headliners on our Twitter feed as they are announced. The first headliner, performing Friday, July 20th has just been announced. Jon and Roy, a Victoria-based folk rock and reggae band, will kick off the series at šxʷƛ̓exən Xwtl’a7shn (formerly QET Plaza).
It was a busy Canada Day weekend in Vancouver for AV Strategies. On Friday our client, GB Sound hired us to provide the audiovisual support including multi-camera IMAG, video projection, our D&B Audiotechnik V-series line array, and lighting for the President Bill Clinton along with James Patterson, who spoke about their new book, “The President in Missing” a novel that provides a front-row seat to the inner workings of the US political system and the Presidency. This highly attended event held in the West Ballrooms at the Vancouver Convention Centre required our team of audiovisual technicians to be extensively vetted by the US Secret Service.
A day later, we provided our Stageline SL260 portable stage to help Vancouver celebrate the 151st birthday of Canada at Canada Place. This award-winning event, presented by the Port of Vancouver, is the largest Canada Day celebration outside the nation’s capital.
Our client, BRANDLIVE, deemed the SL260 to be the perfect stage to handle the variety of acts performing and to accommodate the City of Vancouver’s stringent time requirements for load-in and load-out. We set-up the stage and lighting, on the evening prior to the event and were ready for performances that took place throughout the day on July 1st. The performances concluded at 6:00pm and we had the stage packed up and cleared by 8:30pm, well before crowds moved in to enjoy the fireworks. While the weather cooperated for the most part, it was nice to have the covered wing for the monitor mix position.
A special ceremony was held in Vancouver today to announce the names of two high-profile public plazas will be given Indigenous names. Our client, The City of Vancouver, hired AV Strategies to provide full audiovisual support for the event. We deployed our SL-100 Stageline portable stage to provide the outdoor venue for this significant announcement.
Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson was joined at the event by the Honourable Jinny Sims, the provincial Minister of Citizens’ Services, and others from the City to preside over the announcement.
In addition to the SL-100 Mix Mobile Stage, we provided audio support and lighting. Our new Elation LED Blinders were used to eliminate shadows and enhance the camera shots for the media who were on hand to cover the event.
