avs will reach a significant milestone in our national expansion on June 1st with the opening of our Calgary office. Until now we have served our National and Alberta based customers from our Vancouver and Toronto offices. The addition of the new Calgary office enables us to serve Edmonton and Calgary as well as Banff, Lake Louise, and Kananaskis from our central location in Calgary. We have worked extensively in all of these locations so we are intimately familiar with venues throughout Alberta. Our gallery features photos from shows that we have executed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and the resorts in Kananaskis.
Chris (Monty) Montgomery will be heading up our Calgary branch. Monty has been a part of the extended avs team for a number of years as a freelance audio technician and we are pleased to have him join our team as the new branch manager.

Chris (Monty) Montgomery is joining the avs team effective February 15th. Monty will spend his first few months in the Vancouver office as he learns the day-to-day activities, systems, and procedures of avs. He will then head to Calgary to open our new office serving our customers in Alberta. Monty brings strong skills as an audio tech and well-rounded experience in all aspects of audio-visual staging. The Calgary branch is an important part of our national expansion and we look forward to providing more news in the coming months.
We are very proud to unveil avstrategies completely revamped website. As our company has seen significant growth over the past two years our website has lagged behind. Just in the last 18 months we have moved from our office on West 8th to our new 15,000 square foot warehouse at 1295 Napier in Vancouver, we have opened our new office in Toronto serving our clients in the GTA and Ottawa areas, and we are in the planning stage of our next expansion into Alberta with an office in Calgary. We have also invested heavily in our inventory and added an entire lighting department. These investments position us to provide full end-to-end service in a one-stop supplier with national coverage.
Our new website is now reflective of our current organization and provides visitors with insight into our in-house inventory of projections & displays, video equipment, lighting, audio and our drape & accessories. It also demonstrates some of the value added service we provide by creating custom CAD room drawings, renders, production management, and multimedia creation. One of the most exciting aspects of our site is the ability for clients to easily upload and download show content in a user friendly secure environment. Ask one of our associates to provide you with your personal login and we will set you up with your unique client folder.
